I'll be at camp this week!
Do you have a 1st - 3rd grader who wants to learn to play Basketball & Tennis with a side of arts & crafts thrown in?
I'll be leading the arts and crafts (with a little tie dye thrown in) of the "Learn to play Basketball & Tennis" Summer Program at Norfolk Academy during the week of Monday, June 18th.
LEARN TO PLAY BASKETBALL & TENNIS (Link here to learn more!)
Directors: Eric Acra ’84, Norfolk Academy teacher and varsity basketball coach; Michael Duquette ’99, Norfolk Academy teacher and varsity tennis coach
Under the guidance of Norfolk Academy’s award-winning coaches, campers will be exposed to the fundamentals of both games. Tennis instruction will focus on hitting forehands, backhands, serves, and volleys, as well as keeping score. Basketball instruction will focus on the basics of dribbling, shooting, and defense. In addition to fun and dynamic drills, campers will also enjoy competitions such as king/queen of the tennis court, jailbreak, and half-court basketball games such as knockout. Campers will use age appropriate equipment (racquets and balls) and courts (quick start tennis and low rims). We will also stay out of the summer heat and humidity by utilizing the NA Pavilion, which has three, full-size tennis and basketball courts. After this fun-filled week of first-rate instruction, your child will be challenging you to a match or a game of one-on-one!
